Glock 23 40 Cal - I bought a G23 Gen 3 a few months ago and it has become my favorite gun ever and I have very few guns. I also got a 9mm conversion barrel so I can shoot 40 s&w or 9mm which is a perfect gun to carry or use as a ranged toy. If you are considering a G19, I would consider using a G23 and a conversion barrel. This gun can be converted to shoot 4 different calibers (comes in 40 s&w, you can get a 9mm or .357 conversion barrel, you can also get a .22lr conversion kit). Great gun all around! We highly recommend this gun.
I prefer the grip from Gen 4 to Gen 3. It feels more secure in the hand. Size 23 is portable but large enough to absorb damage and see longer. I also like the idea of a .357 Sig conversion barrel. Glock can't be beat in my opinion.

To be honest, I use gloves to hand out. They were heavy and bulky weapons that did not fit my hand at all. Recently my wife wanted us to go to the store and she felt like a glove when she saw the salesperson handing me a gen 4. After a little research I found out that they modeled the gen 4 after the 1911 which I like around the 1911 but also i love how i can customize the glock. So the 23 gen 4 is the last gun I'll buy before it's gone.
I Admit I Was Wrong About 40
The first Glock I ever owned was my first pistol. Fast, smooth and reliable. I have owned several different Semi Autos from different manufacturers and this is the best I have ever driven. I go for accuracy with the spring kit and barrel, even out of the box I get a consistent 5” ball at 9-12 yards. Well thank you.
I bought a Gen 3 a few years ago. I still love guns. I'd like to get a Gen 4 one day, but haven't felt the need yet. When I was in the police force, I liked to go out. It's not too big and still has decent stages. I recommend for those who want to carry concealed.

I tried the Glock 23 and instantly fell in love, it's a great gun and feels different. More damage expected, but average for the caliber, great gun. This is not my first Glock, I have owned a G17, G19, G23, G30SF and G45, but the G23 is different.

I bought it and never shot it in over 2 years. I was shy then I retired and met my new boyfriend. I replaced the spring and it made a huge difference. This is a glock 23 gen 4. I put a large XS dot on it. I love it now, it's so fast at the finish line. Bam and you there. I put a blacklist barrel and a johnny glock trigger. I dry grass a lot and it shows when I go to the shooting range. There is a book called Navy Seal Shooting by Chris Sajnog. I learned a lot about how to shoot. Chris Sajnog was the master puncher. Money well spent. You can't go wrong with this Glock 23. That's all a handgun should do. Now you have to do your part and learn how to use it. hope this helps CBH
I bought a Glock 31 in Sig 357 caliber with one magazine. I bought 2 more Sig 357 mags from Gun Broker but the dealer said they couldn't find the mags, so to cut it short he bought me (2) 40 caliber mags and assured me they would work. 357 pistol. Then I bought a 40 ACP barrel. So now I had a Sig 357 pistol and a 40 ACP pistol with 3 mags. Then I bought a 9mm barrel conversion and (3) 9mm mags, from buying one gun and a few accessories I now have 3 guns of different calibers. Glock Rules!!!!!! I will get the 22LR conversion next.

While it may appear identical to the Glock 19 when you first hold it, the Glock 23 falls apart as soon as you pull the trigger. Using a .40-inch cartridge adds a full millimeter to each bullet's diameter, and the casting effect is immediately noticeable.
