Gone is the dreaded Glock® 'hump'. If you are like me and just want to fix the "hump" to make it look like a "real gun", you can do the dots on the finished product and leave holes in the back of the frame to drain the water and sewage. the base, it might be a good solution for you. You can purchase the jig, chopped frame if in stock, and additional parts needed for use with "micro Glocks" (48, 43X, 43, 42) if needed. If you only buy the Jig, you won't get any additional features.
While the Jig makes grip reduction a bit barney-esque for crayon enthusiasts like me, you need to pay attention to detail and be willing to take your time. Be a responsible adult, ask before buying if necessary! Ever since photobucket broke the internet, all the old threads about G17 to G19 cut frames show dead images.
I picked up a spare frame from EE and was hoping for some inspiration. I'm mainly trying to decide whether to cut the frame flush with the magazine or extend the "back" of the frame and finish flush with the magazine so the bottom of the magazine is flush with the back of the frame.
What is important to avoid? What could possibly go wrong... it's time to remove the electrical equipment and the blower.

It is not difficult. I just used the silver awl and grabbed the 19 next to the 17 before leaving the gun shop. cut the long side of the string and grind until the mag is seated. I glued a spare handle plug into the remaining opening.
I made a mark on a 19 magazine, lengthened it a bit, then ground it to length with about 80 grit laid on a very flat surface.
I make a ton of it. I really don't like leaving the tail behind the mag because I think it prints like a 17 and if your hands are that big it will catch you on the side and front when reloading and you better have a bug -os frame.
2stampBob, that's a really good way to get them lined up. Thanks for taking the time to post this. I don't see the appeal of the new 19x ... 19 visible radio with a 17 hidden frame ... I think they got the opposite.

They did this to copy the p320 mount they were competing with. It was never intended as a civilian weapon.
Yes as I made mine and want to suffice to say the grip length on the gen5 is G19 (and magwell) no finger grooves and the slide length is G17.... ...
With the finger grooves on the gen3 I can confidently say that the G17 cut into the G19 feels and feels better to me than my gen3 g19. So I'm thinking of removing the grooves on the G19 because the more I shoot my 17 the more I hate the grooves on the 19 combined with the different grip design.
It really helps the mood and helps recharge. I did it this way.....my magazines in my G17 seat flush with the backstrap.
